Hi, I’m
Eric Deeter!
Welcome to my practice. You’ve taken a bold step by seeking support and I’m glad you’re here.
I want to help you have better connection, communication, and satisfaction in your relationships, with yourself, and the world around you. I believe change happens when your curiosity is leveraged to cultivate awareness, honesty, and freedom. By leaving stuck patterns behind, I want my clients to be empowered in their lives.
Based on your goals and using a variety of techniques, from evidence based approaches to attachment modalities like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I partner with you to approach your life holistically, in the moment, addressing the context and complexity of you. We’ll go into the root of the issue as well as discuss present day practices to see change in the areas you feel stuck.
If this interests you, let’s explore the possibility of working together and help you move forward.
Services
Individual Counseling
One-on-one therapy to help you discover yourself and get unstuck.
Couples Counseling
With a partner, find deeper understanding, communication, and intimacy in your relationship.

All sessions are private pay via a credit, debit, or HSA card.
For counseling, I do not bill insurance directly and am considered an “Out of Network” (OON) provider. I can offer receipt of payment (a “Superbill”) upon request for insurance reimbursement. For these superbills, a diagnosis (Dx) and Service/Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code will be given for the insurance company to process. Reimbursement is based on your agreement with your insurance company and your particular benefits.
As a provider, I must emphasize that my relationship is with the patient, not any insurance company.

About
-
I received my Bachelors of Arts (BA) in Communication in Media Studies from Northern Illinois University. Then went on to receive my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MACP) from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, class of 2021. In 2020 I began my therapeutic internship, at Westminster Chapel in Bellevue, Washington, specializing in: couples therapy, men’s issues, and modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). In August 2021, I opened my private practice.
Calling Seattle home since 2010, my life and career have covered many fields and interests: arts, media, aviation, tech, fitness, coaching, non-profit, and training and development. From my professional training, variety of experiences, and my own healing journey; I approach our time together with my lived experience having been in the seat of a client.
-
My approach starts with you, your needs, and where you’re at today. Using modalities that address your past, present, and future, I want to focus where you need it most. I want you to have a safe and trusting environment, for you to have insightful awareness and change.
My theoretical home is built in attachment-based and relationally-oriented theories such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I gather from traditional psychotherapeutic theories including Rogerian, Gestalt psychology, and British Object-Relations. While being trauma informed, I draw from a strong narrative approach including techniques from the Allender Center that take story into consideration. Additionally, I use evidence based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT) and the Gottman method to offer practical tools in the moment.
